The Lord’s been gracious to me, as He always is.  My heart has been in a good place since admitting my battle against depression.  It’s true, the saying that bringing into the light that which is in the darkness will break the chains of bondage.  Although not completely broken and I’m not entirely sure they ever will be, I hold on to the hope that the Truth shall set me free.

You see, the thief comes ONLY to steal, kill, and destroy. {John 10:10}  His main mission in my life is to steal my joy, kill my passion, and destroy my life.  I’m not going to deny it, I’ve allowed him the opportunity to do just that more than I would like to accept.  I’ve been absolutely amazed and completely thankful for the prayers being lifted up on me and my family’s behalf.  I can’t tell you how much my perspective has changed and continues to change as the weeks go by since my last blog post.  I have the Lord and each of you to thank for that!

This battle is daily and there’s a long road ahead, but each new day brings renewal and hope; strength I didn’t know I had and joy for what’s to come.  The Lord continues to shower me with His everlasting love and daily reminds me that although the Evil one is here and very real, He has already defeated him.  And because He’s won the battle for me, I can rest assured that the Evil one no longer has dominion over me.

 You see, Jesus came that they may have LIFE and have it ABUNDANTLY! {John 10: 10}  It’s a daily acceptance that I cannot and will not find joy without finding it in Him first.  It’s a daily perspective shift for me to realize that this life of mine was meant for joy; true authentic joy.  What that means.  What that looks like.  What that feels like.  I’m honestly unsure, but I’m on the road to find it and I can’t explain this hope.
