Little Women
Personal Lifestyle in Manhattan Kansas
Our {three} little women.
‘We live in a world that values us for how fast we go, how much we accomplish, how much life we can pack into one day. But it’s in the in-between spaces that our lives change, and that the real beauty lies.’ – Shauna Niequist
My husband and I are learning, slowly and surely how quickly our daughter’s are growing and changing. Their outward appearance is maturing by the day and their inward hearts are gradually becoming their own. We didn’t plan to have three children so quickly in our marriage, nor did we think we’d be raising three little women. But if we’ve learned anything in this life, it’s that our plans are not God’s plans. In fact, His plans are far better than our own, even if it doesn’t all make sense.
The Lord has blessed us with these three and these three we cherish. I’ve never been good at making scrapbooks and organizing their keepsakes, but I’ve begun to truly enjoy writing, so I’ve decided to keep a diary of sorts on our little women 🙂 I want to remember these days and I want them to remember these days, so along with my 36’6′ Project this year, I figured this would be a great way to tell the story of their childhood.
This year is all about ‘perspective’ for me and I’ve found that writing about the good, the bad, the in-between helps me find joy and peace in the here and now. Be forewarned, I am NOT a writer, but I will do my best to create lasting impressions on my little women through stories of their childhood.
I’d love for you to follow along if you’d like!!

They are such cute little women! This will be a great collection of memories for you to look back on. I have one little woman (and a little man) myself, and I can’t believe how fast the time passes!
So fun! Wed hope for a boy some day 😉
Such precious little women. Thanks for this reminder on perspective and collecting memories. These days seem long, but the years are going by so quickly. I love that you are keeping a diary instead of trying to something you aren’t in love with. They will love looking back at those memories. I’m excited to see how the year goes for you!
The days can be long. It’s hard, but it’s so short.
So great! As my oldest is now in college, I can tell you that the time passes so quickly. Also all of the things that you think you will remember forever fade away. What a great collection of memories you are creating for your girls!
They are already slipping :/
Beautifully captured family moments. These days go by so fast!! A diary is a great idea.
